I
have worked in Madagascar since 1996, photographing under grants
from the Duke Primate Center, the Margot Marsh Foundation,
and National Geographic, producing articles, lectures and
a segment for NG's internationally aired series Wild Chronicles.
Our expedition this September will be my seventh trip to this
wondrous land, and I cannot wait to share it with you. I
have selected the itinerary to both challenge you and comfort
you. You will have a clean bed and shower every night,
and good food. We will walk a lot, but on good trails. We
will have an active night life; that is, we will go out at
night with flash lights to see the many, many nocturnal critters
including Aye-aye, mouse lemurs, frogs, astounding insects,
and if we are very, very lucky, the cat-like fossa. When we
are in Tana, staying at the old French colonial rendezvous,
Le Colbert, we may find another type night life.
I
will be supplying the "enrichment" as well as assistance
with your photography. My husband, Nicholas Petrucci,
will be videoing, sketching and photographing as well. He
will assist with your non-photography art, if you want. We
both will be doing everything possible to make your journey
the best ever!
The
trip is being organized to my specifications by David Anderson
Safaris. David has been in business for many years,
winning many awards along the way. I had the privilege
of accompanying him to Tanzania some years ago, and then, as
now, his focus is on conservation and photography along with
a world class wilderness experience.
